Bossard began her career in the commercial seafood industry in 1999 when she began working aboard the F/V Sunset, a 65' halibut schooner turned salmon tender for Murat Aritan. She has been a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard married Aritan in 1999 and the couple have teamed up in fighting for their company. They are supporters of conservative and sustainable renewable resource management. Otolith has opened its market direct wholesale distributorship in Philadelphia when Bossard returned from living back in her home town with two daughters, Bella 3 years old and Andre one, to Philadelphia.
